Public Consultation – Proposed Options
From 22 June to 17 July 2026
What Happens Next?
The feedback received as part of this public consultation process will be taken into consideration as part of the overall route selection process. Each option will then be assessed under set criteria, as set out below, in accordance with TII Project Manager’s Manual for Greenways. This process will result in the identification of the Emerging Preferred Route which will then be subject to a third round of public consultation.
Transport User Benefits – Accessibility – Social – Land Use – Safety – Climate Change – Local Environmental Impact
The ultimate goal of this process is to identify the option that best addresses the scheme’s objectives. A further Public Consultation will be held, communicating the preliminary findings and presenting the Preferred Option.
Following the Options Selection Phase, the scheme will then be progressed through Design & Environmental Evaluation and Statutory Processes, subject to the availability of funding.
